It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of my mother Halimeh Fatahi today in Saghez, Eastern Kurdistan, (Iran).

Halimeh Fatahi was preceded by her husband, Marif Rashidi, who passed in 2009, and daughter who was martyred fighting for the Kurdish people and cause. She is survived by seven sons.
